The Problem
The main goal was simple - to create a fun and educational quiz filled with knowledge that could be useful for product designers during their real-world work.
The Solution
I wanted to strike just the right balance between the questions being easy and impossible to answer without domain knowledge. The questions get progressively harder and about 25% of them include images to make the quiz more varied and engaging.

The Process
I prepared key screens while the developer set up the environment. In general I wanted the app to have a playful vibe and follow the standard quiz UI conventions, applying Jakob's Law.
This is the most important part of the project - the content. I wrote all of the questions myself, based on my own knowledge and trusted sources. I picked the principles that are most likely to be used in real world projects. Finally, I used AI as a proofreading tool to improve grammar, clarity and consistency.
During this phase we continued building and polishing the app until the product met our quality goals and was ready for testing.
I tested the quiz with a couple of respondents from two groups - product designers and non-designers. The goal was to adjust difficulty. The non-designers' scores were consistent across randomized questions, which is good - the quiz has some questions that can be figured out by logic or feeling and some that are impossible to solve in this manner.

Fun Fact
The project grew out of a set of flashcards I originally created to help myself memorize UX psychology principles.
